Name: Sean McCormick|
Sean was born and raised in the Ozarks, in Willow Springs, Missouri. He comes from a musical family his father played banjo, guitar and sang; his mother played bass; one brother who plays mandolin, guitar and sings; and a sister who plays guitar and sings. By the time he was 9 years old, he was playing guitar and singing in church. He's a multi-instrumentalist and singer, and songwriter as well, and has played in bluegrass groups in Missouri, Arkansas, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and Florida.
For the past 5 years, Sean was the host of Ozark Acoustics, a popular bluegrass show heard on KUKU 100.3 FM out of Willow Springs, MO. He is a recent graduate from Missouri State University - West Plains, with associate degrees in both computer graphics & programming, as well as computer technology. In August 2012, he relocated to Lexington, Kentucky, with his wife Pam. He currently works for Xerox.
As with his previous show, Ozark Acoustics, Bluegrass Drive will feature hard driving bluegrass and bluegrass gospel. Expect to hear great music from nationally known groups such as The Boxcars, The Seldom Scene, The Country Gentlemen, Michael Cleveland & Flame Keeper, The Lonesome River Band, and also other groups that may not be familiar to national audiences.
