We have been together (this group) for 12 years, adding the 5th piece in 2009. We are very pleased to have Frank Poindexter joining us.
With the making of our first cd the song "Jesus Hold ME"
became one of the most requested songs on WIXE radio's "Bluegrass Tuesday" show. The 5th cd "Bluegrass to the Bone" is to be the best! We now have "No More Blues" making cd # 6.
We have played many venues in North and South Carolina & Virginia; Doyle Lawson's Denton Bluegrass, Adams and Anderson's,
Reno Fest, Fast Grass, Cabin Fever, Thresher's Reunion,
Willow Oak, Big Lick, and many others.
Named "Group to the Year 2007" for The Carolina's Country, Bluegrass, and Gospel Hall of Fame.
A Deeper Shade of Blue gives all of the glory for their success and talent to the Good Lord Above. We all are saved Christian musicians. Our logo is the gospel fish made into an instrument to represent this.
