|COPYRIGHT LAW COMPLIANCE
Musical compositions and sound recordings are protected by the copyright laws of the United States (title 17, U.S. Code).
Amendments to copyright law regarding webcasting of sound recordings, allow for a statutory license, (a way to get permission without going to each sound recording's owner). The license has strict requirements. Some of these requirements include the payment of license fees, limits on the number of songs from the same album or artist played in a three hour period, a prohibition on publishing advance playlists and a requirement to identify the song, artist and album on our website.
Currently we pay our royalties via StreamLicensing™ who then sends in our reports and disperses royalty payments to U.S. ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SoundExchange, & SOCAN (Canada).
